The small green mandarins are picked beginning around July 15, before they are fully ripened, while the red mandarins are picked in September when the fruit begins to ripen, the size has grown larger and the skin has turned a pretty shade of red. Compared with the green mandarin pu-erh, this tea is less tangy and more sweet, blending into a perfect combination with ripe Pu-erh.

The mandarins used for this tea are from Xinhui, Guangdong, a region renowned for the mandarin fruit. Entirely hand-crafted, premium ripe pu-erh was selected to combine with the red mandarin to enhance the overall quality of the resulting tea.

To brew the red mandarin, we recommend breaking it into quarters or thirds. Include both leaves and peel in your pot or cup and brew as directed or according to your preference. Keep the remaining pieces in an airtight container.
